Timothy O. Davis was born in Camilla, Georgia in 1955. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia receiving his A.B., (magna cum laude), in 1977 and his J.D., (cum laude), in 1982. Admitted to the Bar in 1982, Mr. Davis practices primarily in areas of real estate, commercial transactions, real estate-related litigation, and bankruptcy, with an emphasis on creditor representation. Mr. Davis is a member of the Dougherty Circuit Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia, where he is a member of the Business Law, Bankruptcy and Real Property Sections. He has spoken to area lenders and health care professionals on the subjects of bankruptcy and commercial matters and has been a member of the Bank Counsel Section of the Georgia Bankers Association. He has been a speaker for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Georgia on the subject of bankruptcy litigation and has served the State Bar as a member of its Committee on Professionalism.

Mr. Davis has also served as Chairman of River House, Inc. and on the Board of Directors of Open Arms, Inc., a nonprofit umbrella agency managing a number of programs for abused and neglected children. He is a member of the Dougherty County Rotary Club, and is a former member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church where he served as a member of the Vestry, the Church Executive Committee, and as Church Treasurer. He is presently a member of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, where he serves as a Sunday School Teacher, and his wife Joy, serves as a member of the church staff and clergy as a Deacon.
